About Gio’s Restaurant

Gio’s Restaurant is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Chef Apprentice to join our growing kitchen team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in hospitality and develop their skills in a professional, well-organised kitchen.

Our menu combines modern bistro dining with Italian and Spanish influences, with a strong focus on quality produce, seasonal ingredients and cooking over wood fire and charcoal.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced chefs and learn a range of techniques, including traditional parrilla and al asado cooking.

Key Responsibilities

- Assisting chefs with daily food preparation and service.
- Learning and developing fundamental cooking techniques.
- Preparing ingredients and maintaining an organised workstation.
- Assisting with cooking, plating and presentation of dishes.
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Working as part of a team during busy service periods.
- Following direction and learning from senior kitchen staff.

About You

- Genuine passion for food and cooking.




- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Keen interest in developing a long-term career as a chef.
- Previous kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential.

Working Hours
