Mitchell
Rostering and Scheduling Officer | Full Training Provided
Axis Supports | Mitchell ACT | Full-time | $65,000 to $75,000 + super + on-call allowance
Love learning? We'll teach you the rest.
No rostering experience? No problem. We're looking for curious, motivated people who want to learn a new skill and build a career in disability and aged care. Bring the passion to learn, and we'll provide the training, mentoring and support to help you succeed at our Mitchell office.
About us
Axis Supports is a registered NDIS and aged care provider with offices in Mitchell (ACT) and North Strathfield (NSW). We're big enough to offer real career growth, but small enough that everyone knows your name. Our people are the reason participants trust us, so we invest in our team as much as our services.
Life at Axis
Our office is busy, friendly and down to earth. Scheduling sits at the heart of everything we do, so you'll work side by side with coordinators, operations managers and admin staff who are always happy to help. Expect plenty of teamwork, a good laugh on hectic days, and a shared sense of pride when a tricky roster comes together.
We genuinely listen to our staff. When our latest engagement survey came back, we acted on it: new support programs, better IT help, and simpler tools so you spend less time wrestling with systems and more time doing meaningful work. Every team member can contact our Director directly, and there's an anonymous feedback channel for anything you'd rather raise privately.
How you'll learn
- A structured induction covering our systems, NDIS basics and award essentials
- Shadowing experienced schedulers before you run rosters on your own
- One-on-one mentoring from our Scheduling Manager
- Regular check-ins to track your progress and celebrate your wins
- Ongoing professional development as your skills grow
About the role
Once you're up to speed, you will:
- Build and update weekly rosters for support workers
- Fill last-minute shifts and manage cancellations
- Respond to calls and emails from staff, participants and families
- Keep shift records accurate for payroll and billing
- Work closely with coordinators and operations managers
- Take part in the after-hours on-call roster
Who we're looking for
Your attitude matters more than your resume. You'll thrive here if you:
- Love learning and pick up new skills quickly
- Ask questions and aren't afraid to give things a go
- Are organised and enjoy solving puzzles
- Communicate clearly and kindly by phone and email
- Are comfortable using computers
- Want a career where your work makes a real difference
This role is a great fit for career changers, recent graduates, or anyone with customer service, admin, retail or hospitality experience who's ready for their next step.
What we offer
- $65,000 to $75,000 + super, plus on-call allowance

- A welcoming, team-oriented office team
Requirements
- Right to work in Australia
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
