The Role

We are seeking a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join our service team.

This is a hands‑on field service role with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, calibration, fault diagnosis and servicing of specialised refrigeration equipment.

You will be working with critical temperature‑controlled systems where accuracy, reliability and attention to detail are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced refrigeration mechanic looking to expand their technical skills and work within a specialised area of the refrigeration industry.





Key Responsibilities

- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance of commercial and medical refrigeration equipment.

- Perform temperature calibration, testing and system adjustments.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical and control system faults.

- Attend service calls and breakdowns, providing effective and timely solutions.

- Maintain accurate service reports, calibration records and compliance documentation.

- Communicate professionally with clients and provide a high standard of customer service.

- Work independently in the field while collaborating with our wider technical team.

- Participate in an on‑call roster (approximately once every 5 weeks).

About You

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys problem‑solving and has a methodical approach to their work.

Essential Requirements

- Relevant trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (3rd or 4th yr apprentices welcome).

- Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence.

- Previous experience servicing and maintaining refrigeration systems.

- Robust fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Ability to work independently and manage service commitments.

- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients.

- Current driver's licence.

Highly Regarded

- Experience with temperature calibration, electronic controls or monitoring systems.

- Previous experience working with medical, laboratory or other critical refrigeration equipment.

- Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.

Previous medical refrigeration experience is not essential. We provide specialised training to support the right candidate.
