House Manager – Small SIL Homes (Part-time)
Azalea Care Services | Riverstone NSW
About the role
Azalea Care Services is looking for a capable, tech-savvy and committed House Manager to lead a small Supported Independent Living (SIL) service across two homes in Riverstone, supporting 2–5 NDIS participants, mostly female.
This is more than a senior support worker role. As House Manager, you’ll look across the whole service: operations, quality, compliance, risk and participant outcomes. You’ll understand not just what needs to be done, but why it matters under the NDIS Practice Standards and audit requirements.
Azalea is a fully digital service. All rostering, documentation, compliance and reporting are managed through cloud-based platforms, with no paper-based systems.
This is a hands-on role of around 24 hours per week:
- About 16 hours of direct support, including personal care for female participants. While on shift, you’ll also lead and supervise support workers.
- About 8 hours of house management, off the floor. This covers governance, compliance, data review, staff development and service improvement.
Shifts may include weekdays, weekends and sleepovers. Days and shifts are negotiable, but we need flexibility to respond when last-minute operational needs come up. We’ll work with you to structure your on-floor and off-floor time to suit the needs of the homes.
Why join us
- A genuine career pathway: 3-month probation, a 6-month competency review, then progression to a higher pay level
- Permanent part-time employment after a successful probation
- Structured mentoring and on-the-job training from our Quality, Compliance and Governance team
- Direct support and supervision from our Clinical Operations Lead, who has a strong clinical background
- A 12-month development plan. We’re looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career with Azalea, and we invest in people who grow with us.
- Company vehicle available for travel between sites
- A small, close-knit service where your leadership makes a visible difference
Pay
Paid under the SCHADS Award, Level [3–5], depending on qualifications, experience and capability, with progression available after the competency review.
Key responsibilities
Leadership and team management
- Lead the day-to-day operation of both SIL homes, so participants receive safe, consistent, person-centred support
- Lead, supervise and mentor support workers, both on shift and off the floor
- Lead regular team meetings and keep communication explicit and consistent across the team
- Identify staff training needs and help develop training plans based on participant and operational needs
- Monitor staff performance, documentation and practice, and address issues early
Participant support and coordination
- Provide direct support, including personal care, to participants
- Lead individual participant meetings and support planning discussions
- Coordinate and lead medical and health appointments, and follow up on outcomes and actions
- Support the implementation of participant support plans and Behaviour Support Plans

- Support participants to build independence and work toward their goals
Quality, risk and compliance
- Manage and monitor incidents, including NDIS reportable incidents, investigations, follow-up actions and trend review
- Monitor the use of authorised restrictive practices, ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and lead strategies to reduce and eliminate their use
- Receive, manage and resolve complaints and feedback in line with Azalea’s policies
- Lead continuous improvement projects within the homes
- Understand and contribute to NDIS audit readiness, including evidence, registers and documentation requirements
- Export, review and analyse documentation data from our digital platforms to identify gaps, trends and risks
- Escalate risks, issues and service gaps to management promptly
