We are seeking a hands-on Preventative Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep of our stores, facilities and off-site warehouses, ensuring smooth and reliable operations.

Bunbury Farmers Market is a leading regional independent retailer of fresh produce, Market Made meals and we provide high quality specialist departments including our Gourmet Butcher/Deli, Dairy, Groceries, Sweet and Savoury Pastries and Café. Role Summary

Reporting to the relevant site leadership team, our Preventative Maintenance Assistant will support the upkeep, safety, and general presentation of our stores and off-site facilities. This role does not involve licensed trade work but supports and assists qualified contractors where required. Your duties will include:

- Carrying out routine inspections and Preventative Maintenance tasks across the business.

- Assisting with general repairs and basic upkeep of equipment, fixtures, and fittings.

- Identifying issues early and reporting faults before they become larger problems.

- Assisting with minor building, equipment, and grounds maintenance as required.

- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and practical manner.

- Working collaboratively with team members to minimise disruption to daily operations.





- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with workplace procedures and standards.

What You Will Bring

- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.

- Previous experience in maintenance, equipment repairs, or another hands-on role is essential.

- Travel between sites is required; a current driver’s licence is essential.

- Availability for early morning or after-hours work may be required, to minimise operational disruption.

- Understanding of preventative maintenance and its importance.

- A practical, can-do attitude with solid problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.

- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.

- This role is physical in nature and may involve manual handling, lifting, and working both indoors and outdoors.
