Ampcontrol is seeking a HV Protection Technician to support the delivery of high voltage testing, commissioning, protection and maintenance services across mining, industrial and infrastructure projects.

You'll play a key role in testing, fault finding, commissioning and maintaining HV protection systems and electrical infrastructure, ensuring critical assets operate safely and reliably.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical tradesperson looking to further develop their expertise in HV protection and power systems while working on diverse projects with industry-leading technology and a highly skilled team.

What You'll Be Doing

- Testing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining HV and LV electrical systems
- Conducting protection relay testing, calibration and fault finding
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and protection system faults
- Supporting installation and commissioning activities across customer sites
- Preparing technical reports and test documentation
- Building strong customer relationships through quality service delivery
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

- Electrical Trade qualification and current Electrical Licence
- Experience with HV testing, commissioning and protection systems
- Knowledge of protection relays, switchgear, transformers and power distribution equipment
- Experience within mining,



industrial, utilities or infrastructure environments
- HV Switching Operations certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current LVR/CPR certification
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
