About the Role:

As a Food Services/Laundry/ Cleaning Assistant, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Working within a residential aged care setting, you’ll be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, shared areas, and facilities while upholding high standards of hygiene and infection control. You will also learn all aspects of our Service area including Food service delivery and laundry functions. No two days are the same in this role!

We have casual roles available and require reliable team members who is flexible to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends where required. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive, home-like workplace.

As a Cleaning Services Assistant, you will:





- Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms, and shared living areas in line with infection control standards
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas including lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and staff areas
- Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment according to workplace procedures
- Dispose of waste and manage linen in accordance with hygiene and safety guidelines
- Follow cleaning schedules and workplace procedures to maintain consistent, high-quality standards

Requirements

- NDIS worker screen and Induction check (or ability to acquire).
- Relevant Experience
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in residential aged care. (desirable)
- To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
