About us
Anchor Homes is one of Australia's leading modular home builders. Since 2005, we've delivered more than 600 homes across Victoria, NSW and the ACT, building a reputation for quality and delivering on our promises.
We offer a range of pre-designed homes alongside fully bespoke solutions, supported by our own in-house architect and design team and our own manufacturing facility. From the first sketch through to handover, one team is accountable for the entire process.
Modular construction is a rapidly growing sector, increasingly recognised by government and industry as a modern method of construction. As demand grows, so does the opportunity for Anchor Homes. We're an established, premium builder in this space, and we're looking for the right person to help drive our continued growth.
We're seeking a New Home Sales Consultant to join our team at our Stratford display and head office in Gippsland.
The role
You'll be the face of Anchor Homes to prospective clients, taking an initial enquiry and turning it into a well-qualified project prospect.
This is a consultative sales role with a proven process behind it. Marketing generates our enquiries, so there's no cold calling or generating your own leads. Your focus is on understanding each client's needs, establishing whether they're the right fit for Anchor Homes, developing a solution that works for them and leading them through to a pre-construction agreement.
Our clients are typically investing between $500k and $1m+, ranging from couples planning a compact holiday home to families looking to build a fully bespoke architectural home. You'll need to adapt your approach to suit each client and their project.
You won't be designing homes, but you'll need a good understanding of residential construction, an appreciation of what's achievable and an ability to recognise what influences project costs. You'll work closely with our estimating and design teams to develop proposals, then take ownership of presenting, progressing and converting those opportunities.
You'll join a close-knit sales team of five, passionate about what we do,
motivated by results and always looking to improve.
The position is based at our Stratford office, Monday to Friday.
What you'll do
- Respond promptly to inbound enquiries and display visitors, delivering a professional and welcoming first impression.
- Qualify opportunities early using our structured qualification process, ensuring there's a good fit for both the client and Anchor Homes.
- Understand each client's requirements, site conditions, budget and expectations, and work towards a solution that brings them together.
- Collaborate with our estimating and design teams to develop project proposals, then confidently present designs, specifications and pricing.
- Take ownership of the sales process, maintain momentum, manage client expectations and work towards securing the sale.
- Facilitate a thorough internal handover to our pre-construction team when a client proceeds.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline in HubSpot.
- Confidently communicate the perks of modular construction, positioning it as the quality-focused, efficient and modern building method it is.
What you'll bring
We're more interested in your ability and approach than your previous job title. You might be an experienced new home or residential salesperson, or you might come from pre-construction, estimating or another area of the building industry with a genuine aptitude for sales.
Either way, you'll bring:
- Sales discipline: A track record of following a process, meeting commitments and maintaining accurate records.
- Communication: Polished verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present and discuss complex information.
- Adaptability: A consultative approach that works equally well with first-home buyers,
downsizers and clients building bespoke homes.
- Building knowledge: A working understanding of residential construction, home design and the factors that influence building costs.
- Confidence: The ability to ask difficult questions, address concerns early and have honest conversations about budget, expectations and project suitability.
- Listening skills: An ability to listen, ask the right questions and understand what matters to each client.
- Coachability: An openness to feedback and a willingness to continually develop your skills. We actively seek and give feedback because we believe it makes everyone better.
You'll also need a current Victorian driver's licence and existing working rights in Australia.
What's in it for you?
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses.
- Warm, qualified inbound leads supported by an established marketing program.
- Structured onboarding and dedicated one-to-one coaching.
- A quality product backed by an experienced in-house design team and manufacturing facility.
- The prospect to represent an established, premium brand in a growing industry.
- Company phone and laptop provided.
- A supportive, results-driven culture where communication, accountability and continuous improvement are part of how we work.
How to apply
If this sounds like the right opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.
Submit your CV along with a short note outlining a sale or project you're particularly proud of. Tell us a little about the opportunity, how you qualified the client and what you did to secure the outcome.
Applicants must have existing working rights in Australia.
