Whitty Engineering is a specialist provider of engineered solutions across timber, construction, housing and industrial sectors. With over 60 staff and a purpose-built Mount Gambier workshop, they deliver high-quality fabrication, machining and mechanical design services.

They are seeking a Project Estimator to join their Mount Gambier-based team and manage the full lifecycle of tenders and quotations. This role suits someone with solid analytical skills, commercial awareness and the ability to interpret technical documentation in an industrial manufacturing environment.

About the Role

Supporting the Engineering, Sales and Operations teams, you will prepare accurate, competitive and well-structured quotations that align with customer requirements and company financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare estimations and quotations that reflect scope, tender documentation and project requirements.

· Request and analyse supplier and contractor costings.

· Assess labour utilisation, efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.

· Identify risks, clarify scope and ensure modelling assumptions are accurate.

· Maintain quotation files,



documentation and databases within the Quality Management System.

· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support successful tender outcomes.

· Maintain high quality client relationships with responsive service levels.

· Provide recommendations to improve quotation processes and systems.

· Uphold WHS, environmental and industry standards.

About You

· Strong numeracy and analytical capability.

· Experience in costing, estimating or project administration (engineering/manufacturing preferred).

· Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.

· Skilled in MS Excel, Word and project management software.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Able to prioritise competing deadlines and maintain accuracy.
