Ballajura Medical Centre is seeking an experienced, energetic, and motivated Medical Receptionist for a casual role in our practice. Our clinic has great GP’s and friendly welcoming staff.

We are seeking someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and understands the importance of creating a positive experience for every patient.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our medical practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Greeting patients and providing friendly, professional customer service.

- Answering telephone calls and managing patient enquiries.

- Booking, confirming and managing patient appointments.

- Processing patient registrations and maintaining accurate medical records.

- Processing Medicare claims, patient payments and private billing.

- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, referrals and medical documentation.

- Assisting with patient recalls, reminders and follow-up appointments.

- Providing administrative support to doctors, nurses and the practice management team.

- Maintaining patient confidentiality and a qualified reception environment.

Essential Requirements

- Previous experience in medical reception or a general practice setting is essential.

- Experience using Best Practice medical software is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of Medicare billing and general practice procedures.

- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

- A professional, friendly and patient-focused approach.

- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
