About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Sheetmetal Worker to join our team at Steel Indesign Pty Ltd, based in Bankstown, NSW.

This is a full time position where you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of custom Stainless steel fabrication. Including manufacturing Stainless steel benches, Cupboards, shelving, Refrigeration counters, Hot Food Displays, Bar Frames, Bar benches.

Experience in TIG welding, grinding and polishing.

Must have experience in commercial kitchen fabrication industry.

Key responsibilities

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

- Operating sheetmetal machinery and equipment to cut, bend, weld and assemble steel components

- Fitting and finishing sheetmetal components to meet quality standards

- Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient and timely production of projects

- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

- Contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes

About you





- Formal trade qualification in sheetmetal work

- Demonstrated experience in a sheetmetal fabrication or manufacturing role

- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

- Skilled in operating a range of sheetmetal machinery and equipment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
