Organisational Context

Community Housing Industry Association NSW (CHIA NSW) is the peak body for registered community housing providers in NSW. We support a not-for-profit rental housing industry that improves the lives of people on low incomes and those experiencing disadvantage.

The community housing sector in NSW is growing and diversifying. Providers now manage more than 50,000 social housing homes—around 1 in 3 social housing homes in NSW. Since 2012, CHIA NSW members have delivered around $1.2 billion in investment into communities across NSW, creating more than 3,200 recent homes.

CHIA NSW provides accredited training, assessment, and professional development through our Learning and Development Team and our Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 90400), the Centre for Training in Social Housing.
