Head of Product - Card Issuing & Global Payment

Own the product behind a new payments and card issuing platform.
Our client is a growing Australian fintech with a global footprint. They’ve recently launched a recent payments and issuing product, and the next step is scaling it across schemes, partners and markets. It’s a strategic product with strong backing from the board and exec team.

You’ll set the direction, own the roadmap and prioritisation, and turn a young product into a real growth engine.

What you’ll do
Own strategy, roadmap and prioritisation for the payments and issuing product
Build business cases backed by data, customer insight and commercial modelling
Navigate scheme, regulatory and compliance trade-offs to make smart calls
Lead go-to-market planning for recent schemes, partners and markets
Work closely with Engineering, Delivery, Legal, Risk and the exec team
Shape how the product expands beyond Australia

What you’ll bring
Strong experience with card schemes and payments (issuing preferred)

A track record of data-driven prioritisation, roadmap and strategy ownership
Experience taking a product to market across more than one region
An executional mindset: you push things forward, challenge thinking and get hands-on
Commercial acumen and confidence presenting business cases to senior leaders
Resilience, and comfort in a fast-moving setting where priorities shift
A practical approach to AI: you use it to work smarter and still do your own thinking

Why this role
Executive visibility and real influence on a strategic product
Autonomy to define where the product goes and make the case for it
Direct line to the CPO, with senior leaders who back their people
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role focused on product strategy and performance. It does not carry direct reports.
