Production Manager – Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing activities at an established precast concrete manufacturing facility in Darwin.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing, with proven experience managing production teams, coordinating schedules, improving productivity and taking ownership of production outcomes.

Precast concrete experience is not required. We are looking for a capable manufacturing manager who can lead people, manage production efficiently and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily manufacturing activities, production schedules and workforce allocation.
Lead production supervisors, tradespeople and manufacturing employees.
Ensure production targets, deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and mould availability.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Improve productivity, labour utilisation and manufacturing processes.
Maintain workplace safety, housekeeping and quality standards.
Monitor production performance and report on output, delays and improvement prospects.




Take ownership of day-to-day production issues and drive them through to resolution.

About You
Proven experience in manufacturing or production management.
Demonstrated ability to lead, organise and hold a production team accountable.
Solid planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills.
Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and labour management.
Comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment.
Able to make decisions, set priorities and take responsibility for outcomes.
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Precast concrete, concrete products, steel fabrication or similar manufacturing experience is advantageous.
