PROTECH are currently seeking Trades Assistants to join a busy process driven workshop in George Town, TAS. This is a hands‑on role offering ongoing work within a safety‑focused environment, supporting fabrication, maintenance, and workshop operations. If you possess strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with tools, and thrive in a workshop workplace, we want to hear from you. Trade Assistant

Key Responsibilities
Production TA duties such as
Welding & Assisting Tradespeople where required
Operating tools and workshop equipment
Supporting fabrication, maintenance, and general workshop duties
Maintaining a clean and safe work area Trades Assistant Requirements
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and within a team
Previous experience as a Trades Assistant, Labourer, or in a similar role
Commitment to workplace health & safety with outstanding eye for detail




Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
Robust work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, or Confined Space tickets highly regarded What’s on Offer
