Leading a team of 4-5 staff, you'll ensure all facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing outstanding experiences for athletes, students and the wider community.This hands-on leadership role combines technical sports turf expertise, people management and client engagement, making it ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career or continue building their legacy within the industry.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, motivate and develop a team of 4-5 grounds professionalsManage all sports turf operations across cricket, rugby and soccer facilitiesOversee the preparation and maintenance of high-quality cricket wickets and playing surfacesPlan and coordinate seasonal maintenance programs and resource allocationConduct site inspections and proactively identify improvement opportunitiesManage equipment,



materials and operational budgetsBuild strong relationships with ANU stakeholders and sporting user groupsEnsure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standardSupport reporting, scheduling and workforce planning activitiesAbout YouYou are a skilled grounds or sports turf skilled who takes pride in delivering exceptional playing surfaces and developing high-performing teams.You'll bring:Demonstrated experience in sports turf management or grounds maintenancePrevious leadership or supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of turf management practices across sporting facilitiesExperience preparing and maintaining cricket wickets (highly regarded)Experience managing irrigation systems and water management programsExcellent planning, organisational and communication skillsStrong commitment to workplace health and safetySound computer and reporting skillsA proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomouslyWhy Join Green by Nature?
