Sydney
Collarts has opened its flagship Sydney campus in Waterloo, and we're looking for a Sydney Marketing Manager to lead it in market.
This is a rare chance to shape how a creative college arrives in Australia's biggest city — from the first school visit and street activation to the launch event and every enrolment that follows.
The role
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and sitting in our marketing leadership team, you'll be our on-the-ground marketing lead for Sydney.
You'll own the Sydney marketing plan, turn a long list of big ideas into a prioritised program of work, and lead a small Sydney team covering events, schools engagement, graphics and video.
It's a hands‐on role with real strategic weight.
One day you're deciding the ten things that will move the needle most; the next you're making twenty calls to schools, partners and venues to make them happen.
You'll manage the Sydney launch marketing budget and work closely with campus operations, recruitment, academic leaders and our marketing specialists in Melbourne.
Day to day, you'll:
Own the Sydney marketing plan and turn it into a scheduled, prioritised program of work
Lead grassroots awareness activity — events, activations, festival tie‐ins and community engagement across Waterloo and greater Sydney
Build target lists of priority schools, careers counsellors, industry partners, venues and alumni, and decide how we reach them
Lead and develop the Events & Engagement Specialist and Graphics & Video Specialist based in Sydney
Coordinate physical brand presence projects such as murals, signage and installations with campus operations
Work with our brand, paid media, content and web specialists so Sydney messaging,
creative and landing pages hit the mark
Manage the Sydney launch marketing budget and report on leads, applications, events and partner outcomes against targets
Represent marketing in the weekly Sydney project steering meeting
What we're looking for
At least 5 years' marketing experience, including responsibility for both strategy and execution
Demonstrated experience launching or growing a brand, campus, venue or product in a new market
Proven ability to deliver an integrated program across events, activations, partnerships, content and digital
Commercial acumen and experience managing and reporting on a marketing budget
Experience leading and developing direct reports
Established networks, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly build them, across Sydney's creative, education and community sectors
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging schools, partners and senior stakeholders
Resourceful and comfortable working autonomously in a fast‐paced launch setting
Experience in higher education, student recruitment or schools engagement
Background in creative industries, arts, culture or events marketing
Experience briefing and managing PR, media and out‐of‐home agencies
Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms
Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
