As a key member of the fire protection design and drafting team, you will be responsible for providing effective project and technical solutions, designs and modelling for a range of building / fire protection projects including commercial, retail and industrial buildings.
You will also be involved in building strong stakeholder relationships and contributing to the internal growth of the team.The role:Develop designs and modelling for various wet and dry fie service systemsin accordance with the relevant codes Australian standards, Brigade requirements, Fire engineering reports and NCC (if Applicable)Produce working drawings and plans,



provide cutting sheets and material take offsCarry out site measures if requiredCarry out hydraulic calculationsProcess purchase orders to our suppliers for materialsAttend design meetings as requiredConsult with the building certifier and fire Engineer and the clientReview tender documentation for non complianceProcess purchase orders to our suppliers for materialsAssist in providing the project completion documentationAssist the with any designs / structural engineering enquiries as requiredCarry out compliance audits and assessmentsWhat we're looking for:Experience working in building, construction, architectual, buildings Services / fire sprinklers, hydraulic - Fire systems design favorable but not essentialQualifications in engineering, drafting or building services discipline favourable3 + years relevant experienceExperience designing fire sprinkler systems, hydrants / water tanks / piping and some Hydraulics projects.Past experience using Revit / AutoCADon local projects preferred.Experience with fabrication sheets usefulKnowledge and experience using Australian codes and standardsGood all round communication skillsExperience preparing and producing fabrication sheets is useful but not essential.Some prior knowledge of the Australian Standards and local Authority requirements.Strong adherence to and awareness of Australian safety standards.Good communication skills written and verbal.Valid drivers licenceBenefits:$130k-$140k + super (neg for the right candidate)Full-time permanent role with industry leaderOpportunity for career development and growth with a national services provider
