About the companyOur client is a large-scale fulfilment operation in Melbourne's west, with a big on-site team and a rapid-moving, high-volume environment.About the roleYou'll join an established HSE team as a hands-on HSE Specialist, covering a team member's upcoming leave and a current vacancy through the peak Christmas and New Year period.
You'll work alongside the HSE team and an on-site Coordinator, with a strong focus on keeping people safe while the site is at its busiest.
This is a contract through to the end of April ****, with an immediate start available.Key responsibilitiesCarry out regular site inspections and walk-throughs with area leadsIdentify hazards and work with teams to get them fixed quicklyManage injuries and complete incident reporting accurately and on timeHold managers accountable for their HSE responsibilities, constructively but firmlySupport the large intake of new seasonal casuals,



keeping their inexperience front of mindUse reporting tools confidently to track actions and trendsAbout youProven experience in an HSE Advisor or Specialist role, ideally in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environmentExperience with injury management and incident investigationTech-savvy, comfortable with digital reporting systemsConfident communicator who is happy to speak up and influence at all levelsProactive, curious, and willing to ask questions and take actionWhat we offerThe chance to make a visible impact in a collaborative team that values people who spot gaps, suggest improvements, and act on themA supportive on-site Coordinator and an experienced team around youLocation & work arrangementFour 10-hour days per week (9.5 hours paid).
