The Role
Do you want to shape the quality and technical standards behind some of South Australia's and the Northern Territory's most important building projects?
Adbri is looking for a Technical Manager to lead technical and quality performance across our concrete and quarry operations in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Based at our Thebarton office, you will report to the General Manager SA&NT.;
The role comes with a competitive remuneration package and a fully maintained company vehicle.
You will own the quality and technical risk profile of the SA&NT; business.
You will make sure our products are competitive, consistent and compliant with the Adbri Quality System and relevant Australian Standards.
You will do this by:
maintaining a quality management system that adds valuereviewing project specificationsanalysing test dataoptimising and maintaining mix designs
You will also balance specification compliance with cost control.
This means regularly analysing raw materials, plant capability, delivery processes and final product testing to find savings without compromising quality.
Key Responsibilities
Champion safety and sustainability within the team and the wider businessLead continuous improvement initiatives, including optimising mix costsOversee a NATA-accredited concrete and aggregate laboratoryControl product quality, and investigate customer complaints and quality issues through to resolutionIdentify and manage the technical risks the business is exposed toReview project specifications to make sure compliant product is suppliedEnsure products meet specifications and relevant standardsProvide technical support, training and advice to internal teams and customersOversee the development of concrete mixes and the quarry product rangeMaintain ISO **** compliance for the manufacture of concrete and quarry products
What You Will Bring

Previous experience in a similar technical or quality role, ideally in the construction materials industryPeople management experienceStrong analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, usable management informationCommercial awareness, including the ability to identify, raise and manage the financial and contractual impacts of product-related decisionsExperience working with customers and suppliers to deliver budgeted strategic outcomesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsA collaborative, innovative approachProficiency in Microsoft Office
Desirable
Tertiary qualifications in engineering or scienceCompetency in Command software (concrete production)Basic knowledge of SAPBasic knowledge of Questlab
