PICKER PACKER

The successful candidates will be responsible for accurately picking, packing and preparing food products for dispatch while maintaining high standards of productivity, food safety and workplace hygiene.

This is a physically demanding role requiring individuals who are comfortable working in cold temperatures, performing repetitive tasks and working in a quick-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
Pick and pack food products accurately according to customer orders.
Work across chilled and frozen storage areas as required.
Manual picking lists or warehouse systems to process orders.
Check product quantities, labels, expiry dates and product quality.
Prepare, label and stage completed orders for dispatch.
Assist with stock replenishment, rotation and general warehouse duties.
Maintain food safety, hygiene and cold-chain requirements.
Perform manual handling, including lifting, bending, reaching and repetitive movements.
Maintain a clean, organised and secure working environment.
Meet daily picking targets and productivity expectations.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience Required




Previous pick packing or warehouse experience, preferably within food distribution or cold storage.
Experience working in refrigerated or freezer environments highly regarded.
Ability and willingness to work in cold conditions for extended periods.
Positive attention to detail and accuracy when picking orders.
Physically capable of performing repetitive manual handling tasks.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Reliable attendance, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices desirable.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
Regular exposure to refrigerated and freezer temperatures.
Prolonged standing, walking and repetitive movements.
Manual handling of cartons and food products within protected lifting limits.
Wearing appropriate cold-storage PPE, including thermal clothing, gloves and safety footwear.
Adherence to strict food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
