About the role

Ready to turn your interest in welding and metalwork into a trade career?

Kotzur is looking for a motivated Apprentice Welder to join our team in Walla Walla, just 30 minutes from Albury. Learn from experienced tradespeople, develop practical skills and contribute to real fabrication projects in a supportive team.

This full time apprenticeship starts in January 2027, with support to complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade. You’ll help fabricate silos, associated structures and components for agriculture and mining, with structured training and mentoring as you learn.

What you'll be doing
Assist with welding and fabrication tasks under the supervision of experienced tradespeople
Learn and follow protected work practices and quality standards
Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans




Learn to use welding and metalworking tools and machinery safely under supervision
Take part in the training and development required for your apprenticeship
Help with general workshop duties and team projects

What we're looking for
A genuine interest in welding, fabrication and hands-on work
A willingness to learn, ask questions and follow guidance
A strong work ethic and a commitment to working safely
Valuable communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
Completion of Year 10 or higher (preferred)
Exposure to metalwork or trade-related subjects (helpful, but not essential)
