A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland delivering complex rail station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months the head contractor is seeking an Area Manager - Structures to lead protected commercial and program delivery of structural packages across the western area through completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities




Set delivery strategy organisation staging and resource plan for bridges retaining structures and other structural assets
Lead constructability design temporary-works and lifting reviews
Own area safety quality cost forecast schedule risk and subcontract performance
Coordinate interfaces with earthworks utilities rail roads services and adjacent packages
Drive progressive completion defect close-out as-builts and turnover of structural assets

What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent
12 years major-project contractor experience including leadership of substantial structural packages
Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and major subcontractors
Robust commercial program design and construction judgement

Relocation packages on offer.

Australian experience is required.
