A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland delivering complex rail station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months the head contractor is seeking a Surveyor / Data Manager to manage survey control field data and spatial information so construction and handover decisions rest on accurate traceable datasets.

Key Responsibilities
Establish and protect project survey control and calibration records




Plan and review set-out feature surveys monitoring scanning and as-built activities
Validate field data coordinate systems and metadata for transfer into design BIM GIS and asset platforms
Investigate survey discrepancies before affected work is covered
Maintain survey and spatial-data registers backups and access controls

What Were Looking For
Degree or diploma in surveying geomatics or spatial science; relevant registration where required
7 years construction-survey experience including data leadership on major civil or rail projects
Total stations GNSS scanning monitoring and BIM/GIS data exchange

Relocation packages on offer.

Australian experience is required.
