Do you instinctively love transforming a cupboard into a calm, beautifully organised space? Are you quick and confident in the kitchen?
We're a busy, health-conscious family of four with two home-schooled children (6 and 12). We run an online wellness business from our low-tox and chemical-free home. We're seeking a capable, warm and seriously organised person to join us long term. You'll cook nourishing plant-based, gluten-free food, create real order in our home and spend quality time with our kids. It's an all-round family support role for someone who enjoys all three aspects of the role.
This is a role for someone who delights in being of service. You take quiet pride in work done properly. You're low ego with high standards, you move with pace, and you see things through.
We're often out and about, so you'll regularly be working on your own. Someone independent who enjoys their own company will thrive here. We don't want to hand you a list each day. Over time, you'll come to know our home, routines and preferences well enough to anticipate what's needed and quietly make it happen.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities are divided into three areas. The split varies day to day, but as a guide:
50% Cooking and food prep
30% Housekeeping, organisation and laundry
COOKING
We follow Medical Medium protocols, and we'll teach you everything you need to know. This suits someone who's curious and enjoys learning a new way of cooking and getting the details right. Once you know the foundations, it's surprisingly simple, and creative rather than restrictive. We also have a library of cookbooks and resources to draw from.
Whole-food, plant-based and gluten‐free cooking
Fresh family meals, lunchboxes, snacks, salads, juices and smoothies
Following recipes accurately, with enough feel flavours and ingredients to adapt them to our needs
Planning meals together with us
Keeping the kitchen, fridge and pantry clean and in order
HOUSEKEEPING AND ORGANISATION
Resetting rooms after family use, and a reset each day
Setting up systems: organising and labelling the pantry and cupboards,
and organising wardrobes, linen and storage
Keeping the kids' bedrooms and play spaces organised
Decluttering in collaboration with us and finding a proper home for everything
Laundry, folding and putting away; towels, and weekly bed and linen changes
Monitoring supplies and flagging or reordering before they run out, some groceries, deliveries and errands
Preparing for guests, and assistance with packing and unpacking for travel
Dishes, emptying the dishwasher, emptying bins and light cleaning between professional cleans
In 30 minutes, you can restore calm to a lived‐in kitchen and living area. You can wash, fold, and put away a load of laundry the same day, every time.
If a client or employer has ever said to you:"I don't know how you do it, our home looks amazing," we can't wait to meet you.
CHILDCARE
Quality time through play, outings and creative activities
Warm and playful, with calm, healthy boundaries
Our children are mostly screen‐free, so you'll need to be present and engaged
Comfortable following our conscious, gentle, respectful and responsive parenting approach
YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU ARE
Switched‐on and one step ahead: you keep pace with a busy family,
know what's coming up and have things ready right on time
Detail‐oriented, with a love of order, systems, aesthetics and finishing touches
Proactive, reliable, self‐directed and comfortable taking the lead
Nurturing, playful, grounded and emotionally mature
Health‐conscious and passionate about plant‐based food
A professional, trusted, discreet presence who reads a room well
An open, clear communicator who saves non‐urgent questions for the right moment
Someone who enjoys travel and is happy to keep things running smoothly for the family while we're away
THIS ROLE ISN'T FOR YOU IF...
You're looking for a flexible in-between job, or a seasonal opportunity. This is a full‐time, long term role, supporting a busy family. It suits someone settled locally who enjoys caring for others, loves being useful and gets real satisfaction from a job done well.
