What does the job look like?
Linfox partners with some of Australia's leading mining organisations to deliver safe, reliable and high-performing logistics solutions across the Pilbara. We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our established Port Hedland team and support the day-to-day delivery of fuel and general freight operations. This is a hands‐on leadership role that works closely with drivers, schedulers and contractors. This role is available on either a residential or FIFO basis on an 8‐6 roster. Key areas:
Supervising drivers and supporting secure, compliant day-to-day operations across the Pilbara network
Conducting yard walks, spot checks and oversight of pre-starts, fatigue compliance and MT Data requirements
Supporting scheduling activities to ensure assets and resources are used effectively
Leading investigations into safety, operational or compliance issues and recommending corrective actions
Maintaining open, practical communication with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and assisting with special projects as required

Previous experience in a leadership role within a complex supply chain environment will enable you to make an immediate impact with the team. You can also demonstrate:
Effective leadership and people management capability, focused on team and personal development
Experience working within supply contracts including load configurations and truck & trailer allocation
General freight, load restraint & fuel distribution experience highly regarded
Proven track record in strategic planning, scheduling and safety management
Proactive approach to customer relationships with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders
