Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, evidence-based midwifery care in line with clinical standards and organisational policies
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care for women and newborns
Provide clinical care across labour, birth and postnatal services, as required
Support women and families throughout their maternity journey
Promote informed decision-making and positive patient experiences
Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, midwives and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
Adhere to infection prevention, workplace health and safety, and patient safety standards
Participate in career development, education and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
Experience working within a maternity or labour ward environment
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care
Strong documentation and organisational skills
Additional Requirements
Compliance with mandatory staff health screening and immunisation requirements
Commitment to patient confidentiality, professional conduct and workplace safety
Ability to work in accordance with organisational policies and clinical governance standards
Desirable
Experience across labour, birth and postnatal care
Experience supporting students or mentoring junior colleagues
Interest in ongoing education and professional development
Participation in quality improvement initiatives
