Byrnecut is seeking an experienced Group Payroll Manager to lead and develop our payroll team while delivering a reliable, compliant and service focused payroll experience across the Group.Reporting to the Executive General Manager Finance and Shared Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across end to end payroll delivery.
You will strengthen governance, improve systems and processes, whilst working closely with stakeholders and the team to build a more responsive, connected payroll service.About the jobIn this role, you will:Lead, mentor and develop a capable, engaged and accountable payroll teamOversee accurate, timely, secure and compliant end to end payroll delivery across the GroupDevelop and deliver a payroll improvement roadmap across systems, data quality, automation, reporting and HRIS and ERP integrationStrengthen payroll governance, internal controls, compliance assurance, risk management and audit readinessPartner with People, Finance, IT, Operations and site teams to deliver sustainable improvementsProvide clear payroll insights, advice and support to employees and leaders across the businessCreate a service focused payroll function built on collaboration, transparent communication and continuous improvementAbout youYou will have:Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing payroll teams in a complex environmentStrong Australian payroll knowledge, including Awards, Enterprise Agreements, PAYG, Single Touch Payroll and superannuationExperience leading payroll system upgrades, integrations, testing, process improvement or transformation initiativesA sound understanding of payroll governance, compliance, controls and risk managementStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the businessA qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration,
