As a Permanent Senior Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals living with a disability.
You will be directly empowering participants to achieve autonomy at home and in the community, specializing in complex care support.Key responsibilitiesProvide tailored personal care and facilitate daily living tasksDrive community access, social engagement, and goal progressionAdminister medication safely and accurately and mentor support workers in the unit to do the sameImplement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks to manage complex needsMentor and support workers in the SIL or ILO to implement participant support plansHave oversight and ensure documentation and reporting is being completed accurately at the unit and ensure compliance requirements are being metResponsible for completing and documenting induction shifts for current team membersDeliver empathetic emotional and wellbeing supportAbout youA naturally compassionate, empathetic, and patient nature with excellent communication skillsProven experience in supporting and/or mentoring support workersA solid foundational understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
