We are seeking a Chemist (Casual) to join our laboratory team at BJP Laboratories Pty Ltd in Yatala, QLD ****.
This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst contributing to our ongoing laboratory operations.
As a Chemist, you will play a vital role in conducting chemical analysis, performing laboratory tests and ensuring the quality of our scientific work.Key responsibilitiesConducting chemical analyses and laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols and proceduresPreparing, calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instrumentationRecording and documenting experimental results and findings accuratelyEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulations and laboratory standardsPerforming quality control checks on samples and analysesAssisting with the development and optimisation of laboratory methods and proceduresMaintaining accurate records and contributing to laboratory reportsSupporting senior chemists and technical staff with routine laboratory tasksWhat we're looking forA qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Science or a related scientific disciplineDemonstrated experience working in a laboratory workplace, preferably in chemical analysis or testingStrong knowledge of chemical safety protocols and laboratory best practicesProficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting and recording experimentsThe ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain comprehensive documentationStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamA commitment to health and safety in the workplaceFlexibility to work on a casual basis as requiredPreferred experience in quality assurance, environmental testing or pharmaceutical analysis
