About the role
Council is seeking a motivated and experienced Supervisor – Drainage Maintenance to join our dynamic Road Services team.
This is your chance to make a real impact on the community while leading a skilled team of professionals.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Investigate and respond to public service requests, ensuring timely and effective solutions
Manage scheduled and reactive drainage maintenance programs, ensuring Council assets meet industry best practices
Supervise and motivate staff, manage work orders, and oversee traffic control and safety compliance
Maintain equipment, plant, and small machinery, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely
Provide guidance, training, and support to your team, fostering a culture of excellence,



accountability, and skilled growth
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
TAFE Certificate in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and hands-on experience in drainage maintenance
Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and develop operational teams
Experience engaging contractors and overseeing civil maintenance projects
Traffic Control Certificates (or willingness to undertake training) and understanding of WHS requirements
Competent in Microsoft Office, databases, and basic surveying
Strong written/verbal communication and a commitment to excellent customer service
