We're looking for a Business Development Associate to help grow inflows into our Australian and Recent Zealand wholesale funds.
You'll work closely with the Head of Distribution, AU/NZ, building relationships with financial planners, dealer groups, platforms and HNW groups, and helping to convert opportunities into assets.This is a hands-on role with real client contact.
You'll own relationships with an allocated panel of intermediaries and learn the firm's investment philosophy in depth, so you can represent Colchester credibly.What you'll doDevelop and maintain relationships with your panel of dealer groups, financial planners and platformsSupport the 90-day sales plan to identify, target and convert opportunitiesSet up and take part in sales meetings and presentations, sometimes with portfolio managersGather market feedback and competitor insight to sharpen our sales focusHelp organise roadshows, events and quarterly webinars, and keep marketing collateral up to dateFollow up promptly and professionally after meetings and eventsPrepare monthly client reporting and factsheets,



and help respond to client queries and due diligence questionnairesWhat you'll bringProven experience in asset management, with some knowledge of investment marketsSome experience working with the intermediary market, including dealer groups, financial planners and platformsConfidence in cold calling and setting up sales meetingsA collaborative approach, and comfort working with colleagues across regions and culturesEmotional intelligence, and experience of influencing and challenging constructivelyA positive attitude and a willingness to learn complex investment conceptsIt would help if you also haveClient-facing experienceKnowledge of fixed income marketsStrong attention to detail, with advanced Excel and database skillsColchester is an Equal Opportunities Employer committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce.
