GOTHAM is seeking an experienced kitchen professional to join our team on a casual basis.
Located in the heart of Hobart, GOTHAM has built a reputation as one of Tasmania's leading hospitality venues and was recently named Hobart's #1 bar by Time Out.
We deliver exceptional food, whisky and cocktail experiences in a fast-paced and vibrant environment, welcoming both locals and visitors from around the world.
We're looking for an experienced hospitality qualified who can confidently step into service, work independently, and consistently deliver quality food in a busy venue.
About the Role
As an experienced kitchen professional, you will be responsible for the preparation and service of GOTHAM's food offering.
This is a dedicated kitchen role focused solely on delivering consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety.
You will work closely with our Hospitality team while taking ownership of your section during your shifts.




Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present food to a consistently high standard
Execute service efficiently during busy trading periods
Maintain quality, consistency and presentation standards
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
Manage stock rotation and minimise wastage
Maintain a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment
Contribute positively to team culture and service standards
About You
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working in a quality-focused hospitality environment.
You will have:
Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
The ability to confidently manage service with minimal supervision
Strong food preparation and presentation skills
Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
