We are seeking a Dental Chairside Assistant to join our dental practice at 100 William Street, Woolloomooloo, NSW.
This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-focused dental environment.
As a Dental Chairside Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our practice ensuring smooth, efficient clinical operations whilst maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.What you'll be doingAssisting dentists during clinical procedures, passing instruments and materials as requiredPreparing treatment areas, sterilizing and setting up instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocolsProviding chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns during treatmentRecording patient treatment notes and maintaining accurate clinical documentationManaging instrument trays and ensuring adequate stock levels of clinical supplies and materialsSupporting infection control and biosecurity procedures, including proper disposal of clinical wasteCommunicating effectively with the dental team to ensure coordinated, efficient patient careAssisting with patient education regarding oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructionsSupporting the reception team with basic administrative tasks as requiredWhat we're looking forA qualification as a Dental Chairside Assistant or equivalent recognized qualification in dental assistingCurrent registration with the relevant dental regulatory body, or eligibility to registerA thorough understanding of infection control,



sterilization procedures and clinical safety protocolsStrong manual dexterity and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team membersAbility to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate clinical recordsA genuine commitment to providing high-quality patient care and supportFlexibility to accommodate varying clinical schedules inherent to casual workThe successful applicant must be available to work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.Previous experience working as a chairside assistant in a dental practice is highly valuedAbility to work unsupervised in performing set tasks.About us.We are a dedicated and well-regarded dental practice located in Woolloomooloo, NSW.
