About the Role
Our client is a QLD local council owned statutory authority based in Fortitude Valley QLD.
They are currently seeking a Payment Reconciliation Officer to come in and join their team on a temp contract until 4th December ****.
Requirements for this role include:
Ability to record and reconcile financial transactions with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in standard software packages and office equipment to support business processes without supervision.
Previous experience in a payment reconciliation role
Key responsibilities include:
Payments & Cash Reconciliation: Validate data, prepare payments for bank submission, and reconcile financial transactions across payment channels.
Financial Controls & Compliance:



Monitor payment controls, report non-compliance risks, and resolve issues or elevate them as needed.
Customer Support & Refunds: Investigate customer payment queries, process refunds, and resolve complex service cases.
Policies & Procedures: Help develop, test, and maintain guidelines to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
System Support & Maintenance: Provide first-line user support, assist with system enhancements, and troubleshoot ad-hoc issues.
Process Improvement: Implement operational improvements, offer feedback, and guide users through system and process changes.
