DescriptionThe opportunityDowner is seeking an experienced Cost Control Manager to join our Water business within Energy and Utilities, based in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Senior Cost Control Manager, you will lead Cost Control delivery across an assigned portfolio of water projects, ensuring project and operational leaders have timely, accurate and consistent cost information to support effective decision making.
This is a people focused leadership role where you will manage and develop Cost Control resources, provide first line review and challenge, strengthen forecasting and reporting, and work closely with Project Management, Finance, Planning, Commercial, Procurement, Engineering and Delivery teams.
Travel to assigned project locations will be required as part of the role.

succession and redeployment opportunitiesThe prospect to work within a Tier 1 ASX listed organisation with extensive in house capability across infrastructure and essential servicesA supportive environment where you can lead people, influence project performance and help strengthen Cost Control capability across our Water business What we're looking forMore than 10 years of relevant project Cost Control experience, with a strong finance background highly regardedTertiary qualifications in finance, engineering, quantity surveying, commercial management or a related disciplineStrong financial and commercial acumen, with demonstrated experience across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and project cost governanceProven ability to lead and develop people while influencing and constructively challenging senior project and operational stakeholdersAdvanced Excel skills and significant ERP experience such as JDE or SAP, with InEight and Power BI experience beneficial About Energy & UtilitiesDowner's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
