Senior/Lead Electrical Designer Perth WA | Engineering & Design | Industrial Projects We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Electrical Designer to join an established engineering team delivering industrial and resources projects.
This position would suit an Electrical Designer with solid electrical drafting and design capability who is comfortable working across brownfield and greenfield projects, from site verification through to detailed design and project delivery.
The role Working closely with electrical engineers, project leads and other design disciplines, you will be responsible for:Producing electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and termination drawingsDeveloping cable tray layouts and cable routingPreparing electrical equipment layouts and area classification drawingsProducing material take-offs and supporting project documentationCompleting 3D electrical design and modellingUndertaking site visits, field verification and as-built mark-upsReviewing drawings and technical documentation for accuracy and qualitySupporting commissioning and project delivery activitiesCoordinating with Mechanical, Piping,



Structural and other engineering disciplinesWorking with project teams and clients to resolve design issuesSupporting multiple projects and design packages concurrentlyAbout you We are looking for someone with:Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design or relevant technical qualificationsAround 7+ years' electrical design experienceExperience working within industrial, mining, minerals processing, infrastructure or similar project environmentsStrong MicroStation capability - knowledge of BHP and Rio standards.Experience producing electrical schematics, wiring and termination drawingsExperience with cable tray and electrical equipment layoutsExposure to 3D electrical design packagesGood understanding of electrical design standards and drafting practicesStrong attention to detail and document qualityAbility to work effectively with engineers, designers and project teamsWillingness to undertake site visits when required What's on offer This is an opportunity to join a well-established engineering environment with exposure to a range of industrial projects.
