Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting & Control – Australia, the Manager of Accounting – Australia will supervise the day-to-day finance, accounting and ERP systems operations of the company and provide administrative support to the company staff.
Ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner for month end reporting.
The position will also work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and Accountants.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Financial Management
Manage and oversee the communication of monthly cut-off schedules to respective branchesReview Month End Journals, Accruals and Balance Sheet ReconciliationsReview the Company's internal consolidation entriesReview and analysis of monthly Inventory and KPI reporting packProvide explanations and respond to enquiries with solutions regarding financial statements to managers and operations teamsDevelop and deliver financial training to non-financial managersReview maintenance and reconciliation of Fixed Asset Register, and monthly depreciation and amortization journal entriesReview updates and reconciliations of IFRS16 scheduleReview Hire Purchase Loan reconciliationsReview monthly salesman commission accruals according to salesman commission policyAuthorise daily and weekly payments including creditor payments as requiredReview the preparation of annual operational and capital budgetsIn conjunction with Director of Financial Reporting & Control and VP's review and analyse operating results against budgetsProvide assistance and support to Director of Financial Reporting & Control as and when requiredIT SystemsSupport as required with the administration of the accounting systemAnalysis of data from IT system via report writing and Microsoft excelStaff management & AdministrationProvide administrative support to the Finance and Operations teamsCreate an environment which encourages a productive and friendly workplace and one that supports ideas for business improvementEnsure work standards are adhered to by all staff and complete staff reviewsCompliance & GovernanceLead the Annual Audit requirements to meet company and regulatory requirementsComplete the audited annual IFRS Financial StatementsCoordinate and file income tax returns and FBT return and payments, accurately, and on timeProvide education and support for FBT record keeping and training for the company from end to endReview the monthly Reconciliation & Payment of Payroll TaxReview the annual Reconciliation of Payroll Tax and WorkcoverReview and lodgement of Monthly BAS' including quarterly FBT and monthly Income tax instalmentsCo-ordinate & Audit Internal Controls compliance
About you:
Minimum of 4-6 years' experience within a similar roleCurrent CA or CPA qualificationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityExtensive experience using Excel and other accounting softwareExcellent communication, interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills are essential.
