Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working closely with an experienced CFO, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of core accounting activities while contributing to the build and evolution of the finance function.
This position will suit a technically solid accountant seeking broad exposure across financial reporting, business partnering and process improvement within a business transitioning from start-up phase into operational maturity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveryComplete bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliationsSupport annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processesAnalyse financial performance and provide meaningful commentary on budget variancesPartner with operational and site-based stakeholders to support decision-makingOversee an outsourced accounts payable provider, ensuring service quality and process complianceSupport audit, tax and statutory reporting requirementsIdentify and implement improvements across finance processes, reporting and controls
About You
To be successful, you will bring:




CA or CPA qualification (or close to completion)Mining, resources, energy or industrial sector experience is highly regardedStrong financial accounting and month-end experienceExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysisExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong Excel capability and systems proficiency
