With a strong focus on delivering positive outcomes for the community, the organisation operates in a regulated and compliance-focused environment and is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to strengthen its finance function.Your new role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of a broad range of financial accounting, statutory compliance and reporting responsibilities.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting capability, attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality financial records across a multi-entity environment.Your responsibilities will include:Managing month-end and year-end accounting activities, including complex journals, accruals, provisions, prepayments, payroll-related entries and intercompany transactionsPreparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong balance sheet integrityPreparing monthly management reporting across profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flowProviding variance analysis and commentary against budgets, forecasts and prior periodsSupporting BAS, GST, FBT and other statutory reporting and compliance requirementsPreparing audit-ready working papers and supporting external audit processesAssisting with statutory financial statements and regulatory reportingIdentifying control gaps,



accounting risks and opportunities to strengthen financial governanceSupporting systems improvement, automation and enhanced finance processesPartnering with finance, payroll, operations and senior stakeholders to provide clear financial guidanceWhat you'll need to succeed To be successful in this position, you will be a technically strong accountant who is comfortable operating in a regulated, audit-focused environment.
