About The Company
Our client is a growing fractional CFO and financial advisory firm that supports small and medium businesses across a diverse range of industries.
They currently work with around 100 clients, and over the next five years they plan to expand into every capital city in Australia and support more than 1,000 businesses.
They provide strategic financial leadership, management reporting, cash flow forecasting, funding support, financial modelling, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, R&D; advisory and ongoing commercial guidance.
They understand that behind every business are people: owners, partners, families and children, whose wellbeing often depends on how well that business is financially managed.
Their purpose is to give business owners the clear financial insight and support they need to make better decisions, grow with confidence and look after the people who rely on them.

They are supported by offshore CFO and administration teams and operate from a brand new office in Albion, Brisbane.
About The Opportunity
This role is pivotal to the firm's next stage of growth.
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver management accounting and commercial advisory support to clients day to day, while working directly alongside the Founder to help build the business itself.
It is a real pathway to becoming a Fractional CFO, with exposure to a wide range of businesses,



industries and advisory work from day one.
The role can start as part time or full-time, with a pathway to a permanent full time leadership position.
Reporting directly to the Founder and CFO, some of your responsibilities will include:
Preparing monthly management accounts and client Board reporting packsFinancial performance analysis, budget versus actual reporting and financial statement analysisManaging month-end, end-of-financial-year processes and KPI reportingSupporting the Fractional CFO team with cash flow forecasting, financial modelling, scenario analysis and budget preparationAssisting clients with funding applications, capital raising, mergers, acquisitions, due diligence and R&D; reportingUsing AI tools to improve the speed, quality and insight of reporting, analysis and modellingSupporting teammates locally and offshore and helping coordinate workflow across teamsAssisting with client proposals and business development activities from time to time
About You
The successful candidate will have:
A degree in accounting, finance or commerceAt least 5 years' relevant accounting or management accounting experienceCA or CPA qualification, or working towards it (highly regarded)Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Xero (highly regarded)A real interest in using AI in your career and in client delivery, with current use of tools like ChatGPT, Claude or CopilotGreat energy, strong people skills and a love of learningA genuine enjoyment of supporting both clients and teammatesStrong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
