Business Development Manager - Civil ProductsWe are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow our Civil Products business across the Civil Plumbing and Building Reseller sectors, with a particular focus on growing our Trade Waste range.
Reporting to the State Manager – Civil, you will win new accounts, strengthen existing customer relationships and work with engineers and specifiers to get our products on the plans.
This is a field-based, largely self-managed role where technical credibility and sales results go hand in hand.
A key part of your success will be getting on site with contractors to demonstrate and support installation of our products, including new dry cast material.
You will be supported by our Estimating, Customer Experience, Production, Dispatch and Trade Outlet teams.Key responsibilitiesIdentify and win new customer accounts across Civil Plumbing and Building Reseller segments with a primary focus on Trade Waste systems, and grow existing customer relationshipsPrepare quotations and tenders, and manage contracts through to completionProvide onsite installation support, demonstrations and training to contractors, including for recent dry cast materialEngage with consultants, engineers and specifiers on standard and new productsBuild specifications with hydraulic consultants, engineers and specifiers, and support product acceptance with the relevant water authorities,



to get our Trade Waste products onto project plansDeliver product presentations and training to customers and at industry eventsManage your own territory, diary and weekly call plans, keeping CRM records accurate and up to dateTrack performance against KPIs and budget growth targetsMonitor competitor activity and market trends, and recommend product improvementsAbout youProven contract development, implementation and management experienceStrong sales, negotiation and presentation skills with a track record of growthAbility to read and interpret construction plansProfessional written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and CRM systemsCurrent driver's licenceStrong autonomous work ethic: self-motivated and effective with minimal supervisionComfortable spending regular time on site supporting product installationConstruction white card, or the ability to obtain one before commencingAbout usSince ****, SVC has supplied quality products to Australia's civil and building industries.
