You'll move between structural design and site-based assessment: one day designing the steel frame and footings for a commercial extension, the next inspecting foundation movement on a residential job or designing a retaining wall.
That variety is deliberate.
You'll build breadth across design, forensics and construction far faster than you would in a single-discipline seat, and you'll see your designs move from screen to siteDay to day you will be:Undertake detailed civil and structural design for commercial and residential projectsConduct site inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildingsPrepare calculations, reports, and drawings in line with company documentation standardsPerform forensic structural inspections, including investigation of structural damage, cracking, movement, and construction defectsPrepare forensic engineering reports, including cause analysis, structural adequacy assessments, and repair recommendationsEnsure all designs comply with Australian Standards and NCCDeliver assigned tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines and budget requirementsDesign structural elements using timber, steel, and concreteSome of our project work,



including defence-adjacent and government infrastructure engagements, carries site access and security requirements that can only be met by Australian citizens, so citizenship is desirable for candidates wanting exposure to the full project mix.

More experienced and ready for a senior seat with a line toward leading delivery, that's open tooWhat you'll needDegree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Australian-accredited)3+ years' post-graduate experience in civil or structural engineeringProficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD.PRO, Structural Toolkit, Microstran, and CORDStrong understanding of Australian Standards and the NCCExperience in forensic structural inspections and report writing is highly desirableExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clientsMotivated.
