Its in-house claims team of about 10 manages claims for the brokerage's clients.About the RoleWe're recruiting a Claims Specialist to manage a portfolio of property or motor claims, depending on your background.This is a brokerage claims role, not an insurer claims role.
There is no settlement authority.
You advocate for the client with insurers to reach the right outcome.Responsibilities include:Managing a portfolio of claims from lodgement to finalisationAdvocating for clients with insurers, assessors, builders and repairersInterpreting policy wordings and explaining claim decisions to clientsKeeping clients and account managers informed at each stageHandling disputes and complaints, and escalating where neededMeeting the team's service standards and KPIsAbout YouYou'll have property or motor claims experience, from a brokerage, insurer, assessor or TPA.




Candidates from an underwriting background will also be considered.Ideally you'll bring:End to end claims experience in property or motorConfidence interpreting policy wordingsClear written and verbal communicationA car and driver's licence (the office is in a business park)What's on OfferSalary is dependent on experienceCar parking providedFull time in the office during the 6 month probation, then 3 days in the office and 2 from homeA claims team of about 10As part of our compliance process, we will provide you with a privacy statement and candidate registration form to complete.Hooker & Heijden and our clients' interview process includes telephone, video and in-person interviews.
