Paul Hopkins Medical is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist, or a highly organised person with great customer service skills to join our growing team.PHMC is one of Mackay's largest general practices, with over 20 doctors working across three clinic locations.
As our team continues to expand, we are looking for someone who can step confidently into a busy environment and become an integral part of our front‐of‐house team.This is a fast‐paced and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys helping people, thrives under pressure, and can quickly learn complex systems and processes.About the RoleOur reception team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day‐to‐day running of the practice and delivering exceptional patient care.Responsibilities include:Managing patient appointments and doctor schedulesAnswering and triaging multiple incoming callsProviding high quality customer service to patientsProcessing Medicare billings and understanding billing requirementsMaintaining accurate patient records and digital filingSupporting doctors and nurses with administrative coordinationFollowing infection control and practice policiesManaging patient enquiries and assisting with front desk workflowNo two days are the same — this role requires someone who can multitask, prioritise and stay calm in a busy clinical environment.About YouWe are looking for someone who:Has 2+ years experience in a busy reception or administration role (medical reception highly regarded)Has excellent customer service skills and a professional phone mannerIs confident managing high volumes of calls and patient enquiriesCan quickly learn and apply complex practice policies and proceduresHas strong attention to detail and organisational skillsIs a team player with a positive and proactive attitudeIs comfortable using computer systems and learning new software quicklyHoursThis is a part time role, school hours with flexibility of covering a few mornings/afternoons if staff are on leave.You may be required to work across our three Mackay clinic locations.Why Join PHMC?
