Join our Ageing Well team and make a genuine difference in the lives of community members across Colac Otway Shire.As a Casual Community Care Worker, you will provide respectful, person-centred in-home support to older people, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.About the RoleWorking as part of our Community Services team, you will provide practical support to clients in their homes and within the community.
Duties may include:Domestic assistance including vacuuming, mopping,



laundry and bed makingBasic meal preparationShopping assistanceCommunity transportMonitoring client wellbeing and reporting any changes to the Team LeaderSupporting clients in line with individual care plansMaintaining accurate records and communication to ensure quality service deliveryAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsA compassionate, respectful and customer-focused approachThe ability to work independently and manage your time effectivelyThe ability to work with people from diverse backgroundsA current Victorian Driver LicenceA National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or willingness to work towards obtaining one)Experience providing domestic support, aged care, community care or disability support services will be highly regarded.Salary information: $***** to $***** per hour plus superannuationColac Otway Shire Council is a child secure organisation and is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
