Westvic Staffing Solutions, in partnership with Southern Grampians Shire Council, Hamilton Branch, is offering an exciting 12 month Horticulture traineeship.

This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate II in Horticulture through South West Tafe. The Southern Grampians Shire Council covers a wide area in the Western District covering Hamilton as well areas of Cavendish, Balmoral, Coleraine, Dunkeld, Penshurst, Branxholme and beyond.

General Tasks Include:

- Mowing
- Weeding
- Planting
- Assisting fellow gardeners and their requests within the field.

The successful applicant will:

- Demonstrate a keen interest in the region
- Have a passion for nature
- Hold a current drivers license
- Be motivated to learn on the job and develop a career in a diverse and interesting business




- Be keen to assist senior staff with regular gardening and parks and gardens tasks and duties
- Have the ability to work with hand and power tools
- Be a problem solver and work well with a team
