Your new company

Join a large public sector organisation responsible for delivering a significant portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects. You will work within a busy project delivery environment, providing specialist commercial and contractual support across complex projects.

Your new role

As the Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial advice, independent review and practical support across a portfolio of construction projects. You will strengthen contract administration, assist with resolving commercial issues and build the capability of project delivery teams.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing variation assessments prepared by project managers, superintendents and internal stakeholders.
- Assessing contractual entitlements, supporting evidence and the appropriateness of valuation methods and recommendations.
- Managing complex commercial matters, disputed variations and emerging contractual disputes.
- Reviewing contractual correspondence, notices and supporting documentation.
- Providing practical contract interpretation and commercial risk advice.
- Reviewing existing contracts and recommending improvements to clarity, risk allocation and project delivery outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:





- Extensive experience in commercial management and the administration of Australian construction contracts.
- Demonstrated construction project experience, with a practical understanding of project delivery, contractor management and commercial issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of variation assessments, contractual notices and dispute resolution.
- The ability to review contractual entitlements, supporting evidence and valuation methodologies.
- The ability to translate complex contractual requirements into explicit, practical advice.
- Well-developed technical expertise and project management skills.
