An established and growing public practice accounting firm on the Sunshine Coast is looking to expand its team, with two exciting opportunities available across Business Services / Tax and SMSF.

The Opportunities

1. Business Services / Tax – Senior Accountant or Manager

An opportunity for an experienced Business Services Accountant to manage a portfolio of SME and privately owned clients, overseeing accounting, taxation and compliance requirements.

Depending on experience, the position will involve reviewing work, providing technical guidance, mentoring junior staff and building strong client relationships.

This role would suit someone with a strong background in business services and tax who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and progressive practice.

2. SMSF – Senior Accountant

An opportunity for an experienced SMSF Accountant to manage a portfolio of SMSF clients, prepare financial statements and tax returns, handle compliance requirements and liaise directly with clients and auditors.

This role would suit someone with strong technical knowledge who enjoys client contact and is looking to continue developing their SMSF career within an established team.

Key Responsibilities





- Manage a portfolio of clients across Business Services / Tax or SMSF.
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns.
- Manage client compliance requirements and deadlines.
- Liaise directly with clients and other professional advisers.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the practice.

About You

To be successful in either position, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience within public practice accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge across Business Services / Tax or SMSF.
- Experience managing client portfolios and meeting compliance deadlines.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- CA or CPA qualification, or currently working towards this.
- For the Manager-level opportunity, previous experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff will be highly regarded.
- BGL / Class experience will be advantageous for the SMSF position.
