Position Purpose

The Business Analyst identifies business needs, analyses existing processes, and translates stakeholder requirements into effective business and ICT system solutions. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, optimising business processes, and ensuring that ICT systems and solutions align with organisational objectives. The position supports successful project delivery through requirements gathering, business process modelling, system analysis, solution testing, documentation, and stakeholder coordination. The Business Analyst also contributes to implementing effective ICT solutions that enhance system functionality, improve business performance, and support continuous improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to identify, analyse and document business requirements and system specifications.





• Analyse existing business processes, procedures and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Evaluate current ICT systems and recommend suitable system enhancements and solutions.

• Prepare functional specifications, process maps, business requirements documents and system documentation.

• Liaise with developers, technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet business needs.

• Assist with system testing, implementation and integration to ensure functionality and performance.

• Identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements to business operations and information systems.

• Support the development of user documentation and provide guidance to stakeholders on system changes

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a closely related discipline.

• Relevant at least 1 year of skilled experience in ICT business analysis or a similar role.

• Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering and systems development.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and business teams.

Salary: AUD $85,000 – $110,000 per annum + Superannuation
